They say those citrillo plants restract them.

They aren’t ugly or expensive
Just buy few and place them around where you congregate.

I usually put a few clear totes with water in them so it can stagnate and attract mosquitoes who want to reproduce. Then i stock each tote with a few minnows.

The minnows eat all the mosquito larvae so they never grow up to bite you or to reproduce.

We have a fish pond in the back yard and no mosquito problem. They evidently lay the eggs in the pond, and the fish scarf them up.

No, he's serious. Avon's Skin So Soft is one of my go-to things when fishing in the marsh. Gnats can eat your arse up out there and that product works well in keeping them at bay.

Everyone here swears by Spartan traps: LINK

Put them out two days ago, will see if it helps!

I used Spartan and it works. We live on a wooded creek and I hung two about 25 yards from the house. No problems sitting on the front porch.

I live on a ditch pond and at night, you can walk across it as it is full of frogs. Toss in the bats and a ceiling fan and I don't sweat mosquitos. Pretty damn lucky I guess.

I do all this
quote:

1)Get your yard sprayed 2)Buy a Mosquito Magnet 3)Put potted/hanging plants outside that naturally repel mosquitos 4)eventually accept none of it is working because we live in a swamp

Plus build some bat houses around your property.
A single little brown bat (myotis) can eat up to 1000 mosquitoes in a single hour, and is one of the world's longest-lived mammals for its size, with life spans of almost 40 years.

First, make sure you don't have any standing water around.

Then you can look into the following options:

- Off candles: I use one of these and it seems to work. We have mosquito control in my parish so they actually don't get that bad. They are at their worse right before they spray for them for the first time of the year, which is usually around late April.

- A bug wacker. My neighbor has one and when he turns it on, the bugs (including mosquitos flock to it. He can leave it on for an hour and it gets filled with dead bugs and he has to clean out the tray that they fall into. But it works.

- There is some mosquito spray control you can get at home depot (im sure lowes, walmart, etc has it as well). It's relatively expensive, but it can't hurt.

Thanks WikiHow!

I spray Bifen and it’s pretty cheap. Two dollars an application done every 3-4 weeks rain dependent. Works great just bout a Stihl fogger for about 600 bucks. I spray my neighbors for 25 so the fogger is now paid for.

That Dynotrap shite doesn't work. I have one and all it catches are moths and beetles.

Best thing I did when I moved in was clear the gutters that were holding water, clear out all the debris and random weeds and old bushes in the yard, and went in the neighbors yard (she was 93 and in the nursing home, so basically no one living there) and dumped over all the pots they had that were holding water. Mosquitoes went from unbelievable to bearable in a few weeks.

I use Bifen for the house, but I put Spartan traps out in my yard and at the pool.

Spent an hour in the garden, and then took my kids to the pool (each has 4 Spartan traps.) Zero mosquitoes.
