About four years ago we cancelled our newspaper subscription but continued to get the paper everyday. We've tipped him every Christmas so that hopefully he doesn't catch on or just goes along with it.

Well, if the letter carrier gets a tip, might as well start tipping the folks at the post office as well.

We leave a tray of treats on the porch for our UPS, FedEx and USPS guys during the holidays. The kids enjoy picking out stuff to put in the tray.

Those guys work hard around this time of year.

exactly, and most mailmen dont even last a year, tip for what? smashing my packages into rolls to cram in the box because he is too lazy to bring it to the door as he is paid to do?

they get around $20 an hour and better benefit packages then anyone short of CEOs. they have more money then any of you baws and dont need or expect any tips from total strangers just for doing their jobs

I think this year i will buy him a gift card, and here is why:

He's been delivering all packages(small or big) with the mail to the door for delivery, and has come back if we weren't home. Where as dickjaw package delivery guys drop shite and run, not even trying to make contact, even when package says contact must be made.

My mail guy is pretty awesome, so I give him a small thought. He’s on foot and we talk often and know one another on a first name basis. At my old house, I never knew who the carriers were and did not give them a Christmas gift/tip.

Man, our mail lady is so bad and our local post office so inept, they should tip me.
If you go to our local post offices web page and read the reviews, it's all the same.
Never deliver packages, lost mail, leaving notes saying they tried to deliver the package but no one was home. They have a rating of one star and there is at least 500 reviews.
I've emailed and spoken to the local office manager and the service continues to be awful.
Tip them! I think not!

No to the mailman, he is an a-hole

Yes to the trash guys. Three ten dollar bills and I can put whatever I want by the road and they pick it up without bagging

Other folks have to wait on the grabber truck which only comes about once s month

I tipped both last week. Dudes take care of me. UPS man leaves treats for my pups. Mailman doesn't ask any questions. I don't mind rewarding good service.

People actually know who their mailman is????

I’m at work when (if) the mail comes. Y’all are some lazy bastards if you are at home enough to know who the hell your mailman is.
