In Art-Speak that means I fricked up the hair so I made up some bullshite to cover for it.

They were pretty damn good at making statues just 100 years ago.

This! Statues used to be really detailed and looked like a quality work. Then over the past several years you see these statues that looks like an 8th grade art project.

And this is where the funding came from..

quote:

Funding and Support
The statue was funded by donations from various sources, including Ford Motor Company, which contributed significantly to the project. This financial support reflects the community's commitment to preserving Turner's legacy and promoting local history.

I see someone said it cost $150k. Ford couldn't put $200k up on top of the other donations to do it right?

This random arse black woman got a better statue than Tina Turner.

Do they ever actually check out the artist's work before the commission? The rendering sucks.

Fred Ajanogha, the Atlanta-based sculptor who created the statue, reportedly paid extra attention to capturing the essence of Turner’s hair while allowing his nine-year-old niece to sculpt the remaining parts of the statue

Had to make sure we all knew the entire story here.

I’m starting to believe the theory that this is all being done on purpose to demoralize society

More than a theory. Been going on for more than a century.

There are a certain people whose stated goal has been to tear down and subvert the best of Western Civ and its societies; that necessitated uglifing all of its art, architecture, beauty, accomplishments and purity.

As far as those art ptb are concerned, the worse it is the better. (All the comically ugly statues we see have been nothing but TROLLS by design. Part of the ongoing agenda.)

Why does it seem like society has gotten worse overtime with building statues.

Where's Michaelangelo when you need him?

Wow.

I said that in my Walken voice. It’s one of like three decent impersonations I have. I mean like literally just the word Wow.
