This is the most likely explanation. If it was ever discovered in the future of mankind someone would have gone back to some time in the past and notified everyone. Then the course of history would be forever altered and on repeat. You'd have every Tom Dick and Harry going back to get rich and frick whores forever. It would be an unending loop of chaos.

There is only 1 timeline and you can’t jump the line except during long journeys close to the speed of light. But you could never go back.
And Covid-2247 would kill you in weeks because you won’t have immunities to future colds.

Time travel (of sorts) will be possible one day if man continues innovation, however, it’s only one-way travel into the future. If we can go really fast (light speed) or experience high levels of gravity (near a black hole), our reality would exist as it does in this instance. Slow down from light speed or escape the clutches of supergravity and return to earth, everyone you know will be dead. Congrats! Your in the future and you probably returned to an earth overrun by lizard people.

I saw something the other day that said not only would you have to worry about what was in your location when you went back in time, but also where the Earth would be. Given that the Earth is revolving around the sun and the sun is revolving around the center of the Milky Way, just by going back in time a few minutes, you'd end up basically warping yourself into vacuum of space. So not only would you have to master time travel, but you'd also need to somehow tether your location to the point in space as it exists in the past (or future). Mind blowing stuff...

Stephen Hawking threw a champagne party for time travelers. He sent invites for it the next day. Nobody showed up. This proves time travel isn’t real.

Who would want to visit this time period? Multiple genders, everything is racist, the covidians, the climate changers, etc.
