They even tried to make it into a super hero type thing

"The Silence Breakers" (insert dramatic music)

Or it's just an easy name that describes what they did

You're trying really hard to be triggered by this.

No. Neither do I think it's ok to sit on this for 15'ish years and then haul it out just to be part of the twitter group.

I do agree with this.

There is the "why now"? I know times have changed and there were things that were accepted 30 years ago that are not accepted today... So there is a bit of a gray area.

holy shite.

I swear, some of you just actively seek things out to be all pissy about.

Laughing at the media duping everyone into thinking this is influential is hardly being triggered

Half of those #metoo were bots in the first place

Too funny

What do you think is going to happen if you go into someone's hotel room at 3am?

That's mighty rapey of you.

The fact that you have a strong opinion on it one way or the other is affirmation of why Time chose this.

Exactly. Trump won last year and tons of people hate him. It's all about influence. It's not some liberal conspiracy like this board loves to say everything is.

it's not ideal. But I'd like to think the domino effect is a real thing. Someone else airing out what happened to them gives you the confidence to step forward. Maybe their conscience triggered as well and they simply realized they should have said something earlier. Better late than never with things like this, IMO.

Thread already full of pissing matches and the word triggered, with people taking hard lines and proclaiming how much they don't care.

OT: Why Time do dis??

Ive dealt with enough victims to know how hard it is for them to come forward but I cant ignore the fact that their silence all these years allowed others to become victims
