Are you claiming that some women don't use it to their advantage?

Use what to their advantage? Getting sexual harassed or assaulted?

Maybe I'm misunderstanding things here. Are we only discussing these issues in the context of Hollywood? Because the MeToo stuff touches every industry and profession big and small. As to Hollywood, I don't doubt that there are some women that know about what goes on and go along with it to try and advance. As I'm sure you know, that doesn't make that paradigm OK or any less gross. Even worse, there are surely young naive women who want to advance in the industry and are then confronted with a powerful executive who coerces them to do things they don't want to do in order to advance. Either way you slice it, it's gross and that system being dismantled is a win for anyone with common human decency.

So you think women who now feel empowered to finally come out and nail some sleaze ball is doing it so they can be part of a twitter group? No wonder there's a big problem!

I do think it is appropriate to ask "why now?", but thinking about it, it can be a really complex situation. I am sure there were some who allowed men to "have their way" with them because they were worried about their career being ruined.. I am sure there were women who didn't want to say anything because, again, they were concerned, that if they do say something it would hurt their career and it was just not worth it, considering the amount of money and power he had.

It is a tough situation because there are people who will make false claims, there are people who will think that people who are making legit claims are making false claims.

Since HW, it has snowballed and I don't know if people should have their careers ruined because of something they did 30+ years ago, but at the same time, assuming all claims are legit, then it does say something about a person's character.. Either way, people of power should not get a pass for using their power to gain sexual benefits.. And should be held accountable, like anyone else who sexually assaults someone.
