I do lots of "stupid" stuff. Skydiving, SCUBA, rock and mountain climbing and over the 30+ years I have done them I have seen a decrease in the seriousness of "students". I understand you can't scare the shite out of all the potential students but they are serious endeavors you have to take seriously. I sometimes drive people nuts with my OCD in prep and execution (even my wife) but I have had 100s of things go wrong over the decades and I am still here with no major injuries which I am confident is a result of my maniacal attention to detail when doing stupid shite. Classes often teach people just enough to be dangerous and I avoid these people at all costs.

Who the frick allows a first time skydiver to go without a static cord to ensure their main chute deploys? This is just asking for things to be fricked up.
