I would say change all together. I like to keep 3' #4s in there. Two buck shot at the bottom. Give yourself some spray power to start

I live in the smallest little condo ever, and I'm on the 2nd floor. So I'd just wait to die, I guess. I would never leave my dog behind and I don't trust jumping with her because she's 20lbs and I'd drop her or something.

Plus I want to say the window in my bedroom doesn't open very wide. Can't recall.

They'd regret wasting their kill on me if robbery is what they're trying to achieve because I own nothing of real value

9mm on the bed post. Call 911. Warning shot to the attic. Direct shots if they keep coming.

This is a terrible idea IMO.

Barricade my bedroom door, call the police, grab a blunt object, and keep quiet. I live pretty close to the police station, and they generally have a patrol car not 3 blocks away, so I shouldn't have to wait long.

I know it isn't this because I don't break the law.

I am a fan of cops honest. But I have had an experience where I had just gotten remarried to second wife. She was home with my two kids from first marriage on our quiet street in Capital Heights when BRPD knocked on door with a squad of narcotics officers ready to search the place. Was odd b/c they didn't have a warrant but had some sort of cause to investigate b/c my neighbor(pregnant cunty bitch) called and told them I had various cars coming and going at all hours of the night.

Played hell on the phone with the hardass brpd officer the next day. But finally conveyed to him that we were recently both remarried and partying like college kids when my actual kids were with their mom. We had a laugh, I forgave the neighbor, all was well. But that could have been much mo worser as we lived a stones throw from where Terry Melancon was killed in the line of duty few years before.

tldr: cops do go to innocent peoples' homes looking for dope.

Probably but whatever. If it's your common robber, they run. Something more sophisticated, sure, I'll die.

Grab the baby, give him to wife tell them to get in the closet. Grab my pistol and my shotgun. Lay down on other side of the bed with the shotgun pointed at the bedroom door.

Blast whoever steps through.

It was more about shooting straight up in the air. I'd be worried about the collateral damage from falling bullets in my general neighborhood. Probably a silly worry, but still.

I've thought about both but my thought process is that I have a greater chance of hitting on initial shot with buckshot and if he is shooting back at me I would like to get him on the ground as quick as possible. That being said, impact with a slug would be ball game tigers on first shot

As my dad always said, better to be judged by 12 than carried by 6.

Grab my shotgun and shoot to kill.

Get wife to dial 911. Have gun aimed at door/window. If they step foot inside the house shoot. If it's police, shame on them for not knocking.

I used to really have one pistol... IN MY TRUCK... we had aa situation, cold windy scary night, late friday night or so, like after 11, going to bed, got bedroom windows along driveway, we hear something, i thought it was from step daughter upstairs, wife looks out window, makes biggest shrill scream that makes the hair on my neck stand up, screams, there's a man at the window, panic sets in, adrenaline rushing, i knew my gun was in the truck, long story short, i run out the front of the house down driveway to truck/scene yelling like a crazy man, grab pistol asap out truck, i've noticed the guy already fled and all, from then on i knew i needed a better plan, got a 9mm now in bedroom at all times.

Damn, that could have ended worse. Lucky for sure. Good on you for getting a plan together.
