I wouldn't go as far as "a billion times worse", but your point is taken that we need fewer cops like this on the beat because it will inevitably lead to more and more disillusionment and apathy for societal norms...and yes, it is more important for the cops to show a good example than for suspects to show a good example. But both sides of the cop/suspect reaction need to be calm overall.

If you can't beat the shite out of some scum bag for resisting arrest, then there ain't no point of being a cop.
Some people need there arse kicked. It's just the way it is. I'm tired of all the pussy people who are out of touch with the real world.
The problem with the world now is there aren't enough people getting their asses kicked.

Looked like the suspect was resisting arrest to me. Use of hand strikes to gain compliance on a physically resisting subject is standard police activity. This country is full of know-nothing video voyeurs with false assumptions.

GFY. If you want to debate them, go ahead and do it. But don’t act like the people on the poliboard are by and large condoning this behavior. it’s the exact same upvote/downvote ratio here to most of the posts reacting to it

They were slamming his head into the concrete and knee dropping him.
Look....if roughly 750 pounds worth of men are having a difficult time restraining one 180 pound man, then they need better training.

Knee strikes are a trained technique. The dudes hands were wrapped around his own head. They were trying to secure his hands.
Look, violence is not pretty, but police can use violence to gain compliance on a physically resisting subject.

His hands were on his head because the cop that got scared after he saw them recording was laying down haymakers into his skull.
I’d be trying to protect my head as well

You're trying to justify actions that the department has already suspended the officers over.

Yes I am. It’s standard for administrations of all sorts, including both private and public entities, to bend the knee to the social mob.
The department suspending the officers while “investigating” the matter is SOP and not indicative of the final ruling. Having said that, I expect these officers to be fired and possibly charged. That doesn’t mean it will be the right outcome.
And we continue the quickening slide into lawless chaos.

which is....like...your opinion.
FWIW I don't think they should be fired.
Suspension and better training is justified. If a combined 750+ pounds worth of officers can't subdue one 180 man without literally pounding his head into concrete....they absolutely need better training.

It's far too early to be this drunk. The guy was arrested.

Dude is from South Carolina and being a dick in Mulberry fricking AR? He's gonna get an arse beating his dirty, hippie arse will remember for awhile...or not at all. They don't frick around up there. I predict not guilty for the officers involved. Outsider being a vagrant a-hole. If he was polite and just wanted a sandwich or some shite, everything would've been fine.
Downvote all you want. That's how it is up there. I'd bet the guy was a trouble maker and had been asked to leave town. When they don't, they get asked more harshly. They'll disappear your arse.
I've seen this movie before! Dude goes off on the local police, hides in the woods, takes down a chopper, and essentially blows up the small town.
The dude then travels to other countries and does the same thing there.

Agreed, a good old fashioned fair arse whooping is good for the soul, but not 3 on one, that’s just pussies, and no way to fight back or you get shot.
Posted on 8/22/22 at 6:20 am to pankReb
I agree, looked like they wanted to kill him. Very egregious. The knee to the spine is no joke either, that’s how my back got wrecked (not cops) & 2 surgeries later.

I’m not going out to burn down white businesses because some shite bag was spitting on and threatening people.
That’s the difference.
