Thoughts on taking flouride out of water?

I don't really have a strong opinion either way about this. But it is interesting how US liberals are so adamantly opposed to taking flouride out of water, even though the idea originated in those European countries they claim to love so much.

There’s literally no short or long term risk of adverse outcomes if we take it out of the water.

It reduces costs, prevents people being medicated against their will and everyone can choose to use fluoride toothpaste if they want. It is a no brainer (no pun intended since sodium fluoride is a neurotoxin and calcifies around the pineal gland in your brain).
This doesn't even get into calcium fluoride (good) vs sodium fluoride (toxic) and sodium fluoride is what they put in the water.

I say we go full Euro and outlaw brushing teeth altogether

There's enough flouride in toothpaste when brushing twice a day. No need for it in water.

I think I can live without it.

Where do they even get fluoride? Is there some company that's been selling it to the water people and is pushing against this? Has anyone checked how it's even getting in the water in the first place?

There is no health benefit of fluoride in water. It can actually damage teeth and bones. It's a toxin and the human body can't really handle it. It should have been removed a long time ago.

The sodium fluoride added to water is mostly a toxic waste biproduct from production of fertilizer. Instead of processing/disposing of it, they found ways to sell it.

Are there any peer reviewed studies out there that reach this conclusion that I could read? I'd like to

It can also cause children's enamel to not develop fully on new teeth. Too much can cause tooth and bone decay.

How many of us drink tap water these days?

People should definitely buy a good filter. Bottled water usually isnt the best for you either for other reasons.

its absolutely insane to me why anyone would think we need to add a bunch of unnecessary crap to our water and believe it benefits us.

Despite everyone here claiming to definitively know the long-term effects of flouride, no one actually knows. Just repeating something they read or heard somewhere and decided thats what they wanted to hear.
But I'll take a stab and say that adding something that would not normally be in water, is probably not a good thing. I'm about 53% confident in that statement.
