Thoughts on moving to Charlotte from Baton Rouge

I have an opportunity to move to Charlotte from Baton Rouge. I think I know the positives of moving to Charlotte, I was wondering if who's made the move had any negatives to offer.
Have two small boys so not really concerned with night life.

Move to Charlotte, there are no negatives if kids and a family is involved

Charlotte is an awesome place with a lot going for it.
It has all of the amenities of a large city and the traffic isn't bad for a city of its size. Much better weather than Louisiana.
I can't think of any cons other than the NC state income tax and the high rate of growth outpacing the updating of infrastructure.

do it if you can afford it. real estate is really high there right now. traffic sucks. depending on where you live and work (commute)... id do it in a heartbeat. lots of great little neighborhoods within the city. you can make it as small as you want to.

You can live in SC...most well off are in those interstate exits south of town

Moved here from Lafayette in 1984. It's got a lot going for it, especially if you're in banking or finance. That being said, It's really gotten big over the last 15 years or so and traffic can be a bitch. Ballantyne or SE Charlotte area schools are really good.
