I’ve been trying to hire a laborer for fifty to 150 per hour.
Must be able to stack boards properly.
Must be able to look a man in the eye when speaking and more importantly listening.
Must be able to tell the the difference between bent sheet metal and not bent sheet metal.
For $150 an hour I can do all that and let you frick my dog. I'll even relocate from Georgia to Louisiana.

It’s always easier to find a job when you got a job…

Just out of curiosity, where do people apply for job openings with TSA? I have a friend that’s interested, and I’m asking for him since his account is suspended at the moment.

How would anybody ever frown on somebody doing honest work?

There are a ton of sectors with openings not in the service industry.
Most physical sciences, engineers, construction project managers, program managers, estimators, schedulers...
Transportation industry.
Tons of jobs out there. Companies are struggling finding qualified professionals.

If that's your only option then the answer is obvious.

$25 a hour is pretty good in a lot of places in this country, if it’s an actual Government job just makes it better.

You should be an electrician. We need those- everywhere. Always. A good electrician doesn’t look for a job- jobs look for a good electrician.

They’re looking for part time TSA at Barkley Regional. Pays somewhere between $17-$25 an hour. I know TSA gets frowned upon, but it’s considered a .gov job. Think it’s worth it?
Like you said it is a government job and part can turn into full. Nothing wrong with trying to get in now.

Did you lose your job because you took off work to be with your dad?
He was my boss. I worked for him. At 65 years old, it’s time to hang up laying floor and tile, hanging drywall. He wants to sell produce cause it’s a big market here.
Btw, my TSA application was approved. Now on to the next steps.

Tornado alley. Look by my picture.
There are a lot of medical jobs open here. They want minimum Bachelors degree. I did restaurants in my 20’s and retail (selling firearms) in my 30’s. It’s time for something with some benefits.

I live down the highway from you in Lone Oak, I know some of the plants in Calvert City are hiring.

You can add about $8-10 an hour onto government jobs because of the paid benefits and health insurance. So that $17 an hour is really the equivalent of $25 at another job where benefits are paid by the employee.
That is the best, most underrated part of any government career. Ask some of these guys that pay out of pocket for their health insurance how much they pay monthly

I worked as a screener for awhile and I hated it. Much more patting down people than I thought it would be, extremely repetitive mindless job. When you first start you get all the crap shifts in the middle of the night early morning. I forgot about the good parts of the job...

I’ve had a bout with rheumatoid arthritis back in 15. My sister wants me to apply. It would be $1,095 a month I looked. I’m fully capable of working. I just don’t have the strength in my hands I used to. Too much jerking off
They’re having a recruiting thing this weekend at BNA. That airport is growing fast. Just opened the new lobby and got a Hilton hotel under construction right now.
