Have you seen the RN who lectures everyone to “Stay home and save lives!!!!!! You are a problem if you don’t!!!!!” They also alternate in all Caps. Those are my favorite.

I am a male RN. Been doing this for 22 years after retiring from the military. I knew what I was getting into with both professions. Ain't no sense in griping. We all knew we'd be around people with contagious diseases. Helloooo. With all that said not gonna shame anyone nor do I need constant praise. Now as things have gotten hectic with very little PPE available a raise would be great. But not expecting it. Keep your heads down and stay healthy guys.

Last September, I was admitted to OLOL ICU for internal bleeding. A week later, I was moved to a regular room.
The nurses that took vital signs, drew blood, and gave me four units of blood did an outstanding job. Most of the nurses worked 12 hour shifts. Remember, these nurses see a lot of shite from a myriad of patients and then go home and try to sleep during the day.
One of my nurses had her mother look after her granddaughter so that the nurse could rest during the day. I have so much respect for those ladies that took care of me !
