My husband and I are both graduating in May and both plan to walk. We did use a completely online program but since it is fairly local, we decided we better.

IMO I think you should go to graduation, even though it is not a huge deal. To me, if you paid money and worked your arse off for your degree, you might as well celebrate your moment by walking across that stage.

Grand Canyon University

Physical campus is in Phoenix. It's a very small university but actually has a NCAA Div 1 basketball team (their coach is former Suns player Dan Majerle).

You must not know very much about the nursing world. Many nurses "only" have their associates or diploma. It was only the last few years that a lot of hospitals starting making a BSN a requirement for employment(hence why I went back to school in the first place).

Hell... my former boss only has her associates. She isn't going back to school for her BSN because she will just retire in 2020(our deadline to have our BSN or lose our job).

I'm going to be finishing a program at the end of the year that I have been working on part time. I won't go. I didn't want to go the first time around to be honest. I only went because my dad had been through a lot and wanted to see me graduate so I wanted to give that to him.

I went in undergrad. Didn't go when I got my master's. Working on a PhD now. I think you have to pretty much go to it, I don't think you can weasel out of going, or if you can it would be hard to do.

I didn't go to my undergrad or Masters. My brother went to his undergrad, not his Masters.

Walked for my Master's in Engineering when i was 25. Not sure if that qualifies as "late" in life....

I didn't go to my undergraduate graduation at 21, but I went to my grad school graduation at 26. My parents and grandparents are getting older and they wanted to see at least one of the grandchildren walk across the stage. And my cousins are useless idiots so I was the great white hope.

Took me 7 years to get a 4 year degree due to weed, beer and chasing poon.

Damn right I walked, then I took my diploma and handed it to my mom :)

Never went to my graduation. Never even opened my grades when they came in the mail. Did get my diploma (MBA) framed.

Yeah go.

I'll be going to mine once I get my masters in occupational therapy next year. Although I'd much rather get licensed
