I have a stupid question.
Does a planet thats mostly gas have the same gravity as an equal sized planet that's mostly rock?
What about the length of day?

The gravitational force of the rocky planet will be greater than that of the equal sized gaseous planet due to it having greater mass. The length of day would depend on the rotational speed of the planets.

Yeah, I read somewhere that if only one in a billion stars had a planet(s) around it with life there would still be over a billion of them that contained life. That doesn’t necessarily prove anything for sure but those odds definitely suggest there is other life out there

That truly was awe-inspiring. The universe is a glorious and fascinating place. I often wish I had devoted my life to physics and astronomy and high science, rather than the petty concerns of man.
