And I just thought it seemed like this was a good place to get in position and make an image, just because she was there in her dress and you have two police officers in full riot gear.
It wasn’t very violent. She didn’t say anything. She didn’t resist, and the police didn’t drag her off.
seriously...wtf are they going to "study" about this?

The first time I saw this picture, I was on my phone, and the crack in the concrete sort of looked like blood dripping from her wrist and that the cops were rushing to save her.

Not even pure.... But, if she did not listen to the order to get off the street, then so be it.....

That gear is a good recruiting tool. If you tell people they get to dress like robo cop I bet a lot more people would sign up.

that's the thing about this one, they just come off as more wanting their place in history to seem important. The original civil rights movement had specific gripes and purposes.

Just got off the phone with a buddy who is BRPD. Said they were impressed with Calcasieu Sherriffs. Said they were the biggest boys they had seen and put shite down real quick.

Look at her posture. She is balanced, powerful, upright and well grounded with both feet firmly planted on the earth. Look at the line made from the crown of her head to the heels of her feet. She is only protected by the force of her own personal power.
By contrast, the officers have the transitory, temporary, protection of their equipment that will be removed at the end of their shift. They are rocked back on their heels, knocked off balance, and appear about to fall over backward, just from the power of her.
This is a legendary picture. It will be in history and art books from this time.
I would argue that these 2 officers are arresting her exactly in the manner that the protestors are asking that all black men and women be arrested in the future. With kindness and gentleness. Could they have tazed and tackled her? Sure. Did they? No. They ran up to subdue but did not harm or use her to stop their momentum.
Clearly, they are in the motion of stopping to not harm her in any way shape or form, thus ensuring her civil rights are protected.
In fact, this photo is evidence that the BRPD has learned their lesson and the protestors are no longer needed.

I liked the picture where the dude put Michael Jordan's face on the cops that were advancing, going in for the dunk.
She just stood there, hoping to draw the charge. She apparently got her way.

Yeah, but she didn't really help herself by dragging it on. She just kept making it worse.

Did she resist arrest? no
Since she did not, the police did not take her down.

Imagine typing the words
"Typical black thinking"
And getting away with it.
Just lmao. It's a double standard. White people have been guilted into believing they can't comment on race issues. So now we are neutered from offering opinions on current happenings and the only people who are allowed to put down other people BECAUSE OF THEIR SKIN (aka RACISM) are minorities.
