Was she on a ventilator? Because a ventilator can exponentially increase damage to the lungs which is why it should be a last case option.

Not surprised. The myth that young healthy people don't have trouble from COVID are wrong. I have a good friend, ICU nurse, who told me about a 21 year old male, no comorbidities, fighting for his life on a vent for weeks now.
And if the lung problem doesn't get him, the clotting abnormalities will. He has already had 1 stroke.
