Yet, little zoomer boy says none do it.

You’re a very condescending, dishonest, dislikable prick FYI, and you’re proving my point about people who have an irrational hate for everything fraternity-related.

I PERSONALLY worked what was legally considered a full time job along with being a full time student when I was at LSU. I’m definitely some zoomer who thinks that no one works at an ice cream shop part time for beer money though. That was not what you said in your initial post buddy.

What you initially said, what I said in response, and the way you’ve now twisted it into you being on the moral high ground and me being some rich entitled Zoomer is sociopathic. I truly feel bad for the people who have to associate with your loser arse IRL

Just going to force them off campus and to actually become more secretive.

How is that going to work for them?

I’m agnostic about Greek life. But I I’m all for the Greek system cutting all official ties with our ridiculous colleges and telling them to shove it up their woke, bureaucratically bloated asses.

Not sure what they expect when having parties, serving alcohol, hazing, etc..is common place.

Just make it simple, NO going upstairs at all for non residents of the house during parties.
If a girl would happen to be dating a guy, make her give signature and have a second friend co-sign.(or something)
Make infractions and auto expelling situation

But yeah, if the Greek system ended tomorrow, after a couple of years no one would care. Plus more and more classes will be virtual anyway. Way less on campus participation

Banning stuff always leads to underground activity, which is usually more "harmful" than the thing that was banned.

The administrations are flush with cash and want the property.

Do YOU understand the concept of an average? I just said that the average LSU student is middle class and the average Greek student is upper middle class. You’re the one who seems confused considering you refuse to drop it. It’s not as extreme as you seem to think

It's not nearly as extreme at LSU as elsewhere but maybe if you visited a more prestigious school you could see the light and understand the difference in demographics

This is an LSU forum so I’m not sure why the frick you keep bringing up Harvard like it matters. Can you drop it? I didn’t go to Harvard, and I’ve met people all across the country at schools like UT, UGA, Vandy, etc. and none of them are ultra mega rich on average like you keep repeating.

Maybe instead of me visiting a “prestigious school”, whatever the frick that means in your eyes, you should go visit a fraternity house and see that they’re generally filled with normal private school LSU students and not the boat shoe wearing, polo wearing dickheads that you saw in class and apparently came to the conclusion that every person in a frat looks like.

This thread was started to discuss USC fraternities disaffiliating with the university

Very few people are going to be up in arms about the downfall of frats.

Except the most loyal alumni are usually Greek. Schools are being very shortsighted with this mess by changing the students relationship with the school into a transactional “here’s money for a degree” one instead of a “home for life” relationship.

Major support for this. The universities are ridiculous about fraternities. They are all adults and if they frick up, there is a justice system to handle it. I wish we could have disaffiliated back in the day.

This should be an interesting development to keep an eye on. Those fraternities may not be under the thumb of the university any more as far as their requirements for parties or recruitment or whatever else, but those guys are still students of the university. If they think they aren’t going to be held accountable if something horrible goes down, they are going to have their eyes opened to reality very quickly. My money says they’ll be dealt with much more harshly now than they would have been otherwise.

I mean, ole miss is the primary school in probably the poorest state in the country, and I know a lot of rich kids from Texas that went there.

Lulz. Most of the people I knew in college, even the rich kids with free rides, worked for drug money. Employment in bars were better social conduits than Greek life.
