I've been thinking about this for an hour trying to understand it, is this a threat? Are you saying you'll kill me over this? Time and place bruh, or lady, time and place.

I'm sorry. I'm generally quite liberal socially, but minimum wage isn't meant to support a family. Maybe you should get a higher education, even if it's just trade school, before bringing children into this world. Those who have worked, sacrificed and paid for an education shouldn't be burdened with taking care of those who don't.

If you don't want to live that then get some skills while you are in school and don't have babies until you are ready mentally and financially. I shouldn't have to pay for their bad decisions

So, I did the rough calculation and if she worked 40 hours at min. wage with one child (single mother) her benefits and wages including EITC would run in the 45k range

That was my starting salary 10 years ago out of college with a civil engineering degree. Amazing

Yep. I'd like to see her live the life of the actual poor deep in the Appalachians, or even better... the poor in third world countries.

Very true, but that would take more time & effort than just zapping something in the microwave. And that's not gonna happen.

What's up with the Air Jordan's on the kids feet? WTF is wrong with that picture. Poors will always poor, it's an endless cycle that will never cease.

Because the US is one of the few countries where the majority of the "poor" are morbidly obese.

ahh the consequences of having a child out of marriage and when you can't support yourself

I mean I get this sentiment in general, but I don't get the vitriol towards the child. I don't give a shite about the mom's mistakes, but the child didn't ask for any of it. If you throw them both out you can't act surprised when the cycle just rolls on.

I have empathy for her, but poor decisions have consequences. The problem is, statistically the kid is screwed.

It's the government that keeps the cycle on rolling. These fat, lazy, uneducated poor people keep on taking, raking, and taking. This is why they need to abolish food stamps and all the other bullshite and force these people to change.
