I watched it twice.

I dont understand any of it.

The fact that it needs to be explained in regards to symbolism, etc makes it not very applicable to the mainstream.

It would be like you posting what you believe to be a hilarious joke but then having to explain what it really meant. Its not really a funny mainstream joke. Its just an inside joke.

You're in the minority of the target audience then. It's pretty obvious what points he's making in the video.

I'm not sure exactly how obvious the point he is making.

Other than violence everywhere that is being covered up by the major stories. Along with 100 other possible and actual theories.

I don't think it's a black victimhood commentary at all, at least not explicitly against "whitey" as you assume. HE shot the guy at the beginning, HE shot the choir members. I think DG represents society's collective obsession with the seemingly entertainment only/unimportant matters of the day. This obsession is causing an apathy toward issues that truly matter (those in the background), and that apathy to a certain extent is a cause for more awful new stories, that we in turn don't give any real attention. And the cycle continues.

If you watch Atlanta, you notice there isn't a lot of "blame whitey"

Almost none really.

There is some "look at society" which has whitey's thumbprint on it....there is also a lot of "get your shite together Black people" commentary too.

Pretty sure the point of the video was to provoke conversation which they have achieved in spades.

The biggest point they were making in the video with the 2 shootings is straight up gun control propaganda.

Notice in the video after both shootings how the gun is handled with respect and reverance whereas with the first shooting they just drag the victim off like he is nothing and with the second shooting the kids come in dancing and don't even notice the bodies.

He is saying that in America guns matter more than human life does.

Do I agree with him? Hell no, just my observation on what he is saying.
