Rap music is dead. That was fricking horrible. It was just a bunch of recycled lines with yeah ant the end of it just like all the rest of the crap coming out now.

Kanye probably has 30 songs that are better than This Is America

I wasn’t evaluating his career. I was saying he isn’t the relevant “black rapper white people like” anymore.

For people interested in a time when Childish Gambino wasn't all weirded out and actually made good music:
3005
Freaks and Geeks
Both Hands
Bonfire
Bitch Look At Me Now
If you don't like rap, that's fine. But if you do, he used to make some really awesome music. He's just a weird arse dude, and that has shown through in his music the last several years.

I guess you just want all performers to stay in a rut and do what you're comfortable with?

Black guy shooting other black people? What is this? A video of Chicago?

The end is interesting when the DNC is chasing him because he became "woke"

Meh.
Pearl Jam's - Jeremy video was much more impactful.
Song sucks too.

I have never seen a greater spectacle of trite nothingness than that arthouse victimhood propaganda. For the last 45 years the black community has been a victim of Democrat policy, not whitey.
Can you please explain how he blamed whitey in this song/video?

Of course not. And he doesn’t make me uncomfortable now. But his music certainly isn’t as good as it used to be (IMO). And that is what matters to me.

I don't think it's a black victimhood commentary at all, at least not explicitly against "whitey" as you assume. HE shot the guy at the beginning, HE shot the choir members. I think DG represents society's collective obsession with the seemingly entertainment only/unimportant matters of the day. This obsession is causing an apathy toward issues that truly matter (those in the background), and that apathy to a certain extent is a cause for more awful new stories, that we in turn don't give any real attention. And the cycle continues.
