“He has eaten his last meal. Right now, the chaplain is there. The preacher is with him right now,” said Mississippi Department of Corrections Commissioner Burl Cain. “He was really up in good spirits. He has a full belly because he ate a lot.”
“The okra was good. He liked the okra, liked the pork chops, liked the cobbler, and I doggone believe he ate every bit of it,” Cain added.
Who cares if he’s in good spirits?

Firing squad including victim's family would be appropriate. Cheap and effective.

anyone convicted and sentenced to death, should be walked out the back door of courthouse and have a bullet sent through their head
spending 15 years and millions of dollars dragging it out for so long is not justice, getting a 50 cent bullet between thew eyes and immediate death within an hour of sentencing is

We need criminal justice reform.

It’s such bullshite that they get chaplain, preacher, whatever they deem as their faith. Their victim didn’t get that option. I hate our fricking justice system.

Holy shite. I can't believe this guy has a job after what his family pulled in LA. Y'all's should Google the shenanigans.
I have actually met him and his wife. They were at a party I attended and they are EXACTLY like what a Prison Warden and his wife would look like in a 1970's Burt Reynolds movie.

Wasn’t there allegations of him using prison labor to paint his house or something?

Body in his van, aggravated nature of the murder, he confessed to it, no appeals,
Sounds like he's one of those innocents I always hear about getting wrongfully executed.

Moved on to the next prison gig, did he? I thought he would’ve been retired by now.
He did.
Mississippi had a rash of inmate deaths and then a series of prison riots.
They brought Burl out of retirement to fix it.

Look at all these "small government conservatives" cheering on state sanctioned killing.
Curious.
Curious.
