Lace up boots and shoes. I developed sciatica 3 years ago and found it really difficult to put on my lace up hunting boots. By the next hunting season I'd converted to all pull on hunting boots. A few months ago I bought my first pair of "old man" tennis shoes, Skechers that slip onto your foot w/o having to lace them up. Previously I thought it was a stupid product. Now I love them and will replace all my other tennis shoes, even my walking shoes, w/ the slip ons.

People. I’m only 38, but it would not break my heart to never be in a large city ever again.
I live in the country and I appreciate the peace out here. I appreciate a bonfire and my small circle of friends and family and honestly still prefer to just be with my household more than anything.
I can’t stand liberals. I think I hate them more than Muslims.

New cars and trucks .
I went from pining for all the bells and whistles , lane change assist, warning detection whatever.. to loving the more ‘analog’ functionality of older vehicles .. and it happened almost overnight .. part of it is probably age related, since i am careening towards 50 years old in a few short years from now.. and part of it is seeing the average vehicle payment creep up over $600 or $700 per month on an 8 year loan
I have a paid-off 15 year old SUV currently.. when i bought it new, it came with a bunch of fancy stuff that i didnt think i needed, but just looked at as a bonus- panoramic sunroof, leather seats, large console touchscreen with navigation & satellite radio, remote start et al… but still , it’s a 2010 and i had been thinking about doing the ol’ “trade up”.. but now im of the mindset that ill instead do the ol’ “drive it til the wheels come off”.. or more accurately , ill drive it til im too old and the keys get taken away from me involuntarily .. no doubt there will be “must have” advancements in the 2030s, 2040s and beyond- but ill happily tool along in my soon-to-be antique.. and ill look smugly and condescendingly around at the people paying more for a car note than i paid for my first home mortgage .. and this old man will be quietly judging them with a big ol shite-eating grin on my face .
