Leave it to the professionals and get a financial advisor.
We're with Edward Jones and are retired because of the decision some years ago.

Different college and job decisions…
You know, didn’t need to go to an “elite” college on a full financial aid ride (still geaux tigers), enjoying life over putting everything into your career, but sometimes you have no choice.
Then 33 hit and lo and behold, you go to 2-3 weddings a year out of state for close buddies and send $300 gift cards for people not as close (and destroy those relationships but there’s only so much PTO and funding for that crap).
I mean frick me, I don’t even have time for dating working 70 hour weeks. Even now I don’t have time for dating even though I want to…wouldn’t last with everything else going on needing attention.
I often wonder if it’s worth it, but trapped now and no going back.

List for me is like a mile long. I imagine that list is long for everyone

1) Play guitar earlier
2) Stop letting others try to define, impact or impede my happiness
3) Worry about things that are essentially out of my control
In older age I've enjoyed trying to accept people as they are, even if they're sort of out there or effed up. I've come to the opinion most people are a product of their upbringing and genetic predispositions and are carrying that baggage with them. So enjoy their quirkiness and cut 'em a break if you can.
Pretty much do onto others as you would like done to you.

DIY projects. In my younger days i had zero interest in building or fixing anything. Now I will try to fix most things and look forward to building things
