Same here. Played bass in high school garage bands and then corporate America took over.

30 years later picked it up again and wish I would have never quit.

Are you a grown up?
yes, and I’ve read up on how to ‘invest’ and if just makes me more confused

Some say get an advisor, some say do it yourself, some say just save up for retirement

So, I’m glad you know everything there is about it and are successful - I haven’t gotten there yet.

Not spending money on bull. Man if I had half of what I wasted before 35. I'd probably be retiring in 7 years.

You have all kinds of kids, have them get good jobs and and each kicks in a part of their income and BINGO, the GRT retirement fund.

If that fails run the church gambling interests and take a skim off the top in cash.

If that does not work, you have to put in the work. If somebody else does not have skin in the game (like an advisor) my observation of life and human nature over long windows do not bode well when their money is not on the line.

You were smart enough to earn it, put in the time to get smart enough to keep it.

Money management, but I am sure that applies to most people. Looking back, I am sure everyone at some point spend money on something that really had little value.

not for everything - we have St Anthony for Lost Things, St Jude for Impossible things, St Joseph to sell a house, St Ann to find a husband, etc.
