Me and a buddy are coming in for the game this week. With the early kickoff, what are some things to get out and do or see around town that afternoon besides sit in a bar and drink? It's been a long time since I was there.

Cuddle with Mike the Tiger. He's friendly.

Visit Tony's Seafood and grab some delicious Boudin balls.

And then take a quick stroll down (windows up, doors locked) Plank Road and count your blessings that you don't live in North Baton Rouge.

serious answer....look at the entertainment section of The Advocate tomorrow and Wednesday. They'll post concerts, plays, brewery tours, etc..

Tour the Old State Capital and the USS Kidd. Go hang out at Perkins Row.

With traffic, you will be 3:30 or 4:00 getting off campus so you won’t have much time to get places before they close.

Old State Capitol, New State Capitol, USS Kidd. If you're a Civil War buff, head north of the City to Port Hudson (name checks out), play a few hands at L'Auberge, Louisiana Arts and Science Museum, day trip to the Atchafalaya.

Well, the locals enjoy sitting in traffic for hours on end! We particularly enjoy coming in from the west where every single vehicle traveling from California to Florida funnels down to one lane! We love it!

Go into the hood Dixie and walk around and see how long it takes to get shot at.

Talk about a rush!

Hiking the Port Hudson battlefield is the most overlooked activity in Baton Rouge. Especially this time of the year.

Rural Life museum too, and the USS Kidd is always good.

"see" if anyone is shooting or robbing people before stopping your car.

"do" get the hell out ASAP

Cancel the trip. Literally the only worst cities in America are Detroit and Newark.
