The covids has taught me I do the following relatively well while drinking:
Folding clothes
Dusting frames
Cutting grass
Pressure washing....

....so many things Rona is teaching us.

I thought I might ride my bike better drunk.

I don’t.

Work. It’s glorious. I should really have tried this sooner.

My wife and I live about 2 miles from our favorite bar downtown. Pengillys Saloon. We also live near the greenbelt that can take us nearly directly to that bar. We ride there often. One time I was riding back pretty fricked up and ran dead into a curb and completely demolished my tire. I had to walk it back. Luckily it was summer so the temp was nice and we had a nice stroll along the Boise river.

Point is, the effects of alcohol are very pronounced when you're riding a bicycle.

How were we supposed to know you were on a bicycle, bub?

You can ride a car, a train, a bus, a trolley, a golf cart, a ski lift, a hovercraft, a mystery ship, a tiger ( Jefferson Starship reference LINK), a sexual partner, many things.

Several years back my buddy, his wife and I went to a bar a couple blocks down from his house. We both rode his bikes there. We were having a great time, I even got on stage with the band and played the bongos for a couple of songs. It was an outdoor bar and rain began to fall. We decided it was time to go, so drunk biking it is. As I tried to gain my balance, which wasn't there at all, I fell over with the front wheel turning a hard 90 degrees. As I fell, the handlebars also turned resulting in my neck, near my throat hitting the end of the bar. Sobering moment because it hurt like shite! Lesson to the kiddies, don't drink and ride.
