Just talked to a friend in Belfast. She said this was 5 minutes from her houses. Tonight they are planning protests and even said there are rumors people will go house to house and drag out anyone of color. She said that the immigration is a problem but they also have some incredibly hard working immigrants as well.

what's the other option though? peaceful protests dont do anything. i'm not advocating violence in this specific case or in ANY specific case neccessarily, but historically, the only protests that actually bring about change are the violent ones.

It is a hard call.
The democracy in me says "vote". Build a movement the correct way, get rid of these lunatics in office, and then start deporting.
But I also believe we are past that point in Europe.

I mean, they're going to do that anyway. They'll even fabricate justifications along the way, if needed. All I'm asking is that the native Britons and Irish give Starmer every ounce of the peaceful protesting we experienced in Baltimore and Minneapolis. It would absolutely shock them
