I'm 75, I was coding in 1970 in assembly language, I'm trying to retire now but my inbox is busy asking for tech advice and offering consulting jobs. Boomers invented the technology you use.
AI is really the first innovation for market in years, No, we were not the greatest generation as my parents were, they lived through the depression and WWII, they were very hardy, brave and innovative people. I want to see the generations to come pick up the mantle of creativity and move forward.
Go for it, but be builders not users, throw away the video games they get you nowhere.

my parents were depression babies, the experiences they grew up with shaped their mindset, they made a pretty successful life together and although they enjoyed the fruits of their labor they always had a rainy day in mind, and planned for the future, made sure to help everyone they could along the way, not a bad mindset to have as opposed to “wah!”, I can’t have what I want right now and it’s because of the generations before me”

This is everywhere in the trades. Finding American kids who are willing to sweat is near impossible.
For years I thought illegals were going to steal our jobs. Now it's like. Hell naw. They're going to fill them since our lazy gamers can't and don't want to. Too bad too because it's monopoly money incomes right now.
