There are approximately 300 murders with knives and 700 total murders in England per year. Even when you account for population size, that’s nothing compared to the 26,000 murders per year in the U.S.
I’m not saying there aren’t good arguments for maintaining 2A rights, but crime stats in England isn’t one of them.

Speaking of population, do you realize that about 6% of the population commits about 50% of all of our violent crimes?
The number gets even smaller when you break it all into age groups and then about 3% commit over 40% of all of our violent crimes.

Unless you don’t consider the government confiscating kitchen knives a crime. I find that to be a pretty convincing argument as to why the founding fathers wrote the 2A

Interesting demographic numbers...

What is the racial breakdown of the UK?
82% of people in England and Wales are white, and 18% belong to a black, Asian, mixed or other ethnic group (2021 Census data)

As of 2020, White Americans are the racial majority, with non-Hispanic whites representing 57.8% of the population. Hispanic and Latino Americans are the largest ethnic minority, comprising 18.7% of the population, while Black or African Americans are the second largest racial minority, making up 12.1%.

That’s one way to attack meat. No tools allowed to cut a steak.

Steak?
You don't need a knife to cut your government supplied bug soup.

The Ben Kinsella Trust noted an 11 per cent increase in knife crime in England and Wales in the 12 months to September 2022, with police recording 50,434 offences involving a knife or sharp instrument during that period.
The last company I worked for had an office in Bristol, England. We had a kid from over there come to training in Birmingham, AL. We were talking about knives and guns. He said that you could get arrested for carrying a butter knife down the street. In a class of about a dozen rednecks, I politely informed him that he was likely the only person in the room WITHOUT a knife. At which point, every guy in the class produced their pocket carry. Thought the poor kid was gonna have a heart attack.
The people there are screwed. There is no hope for them.

Apparently Europe has developed a bad case of the dementia, and completely forgot about the 30s and 40s. Oh well, right this way to the showers. We need to delouse you before you enter the nice new camps.

I used to work at the Boys & Girls Club here in Knoxville. Every summer, we would have a group from the Essex Boys & Girls Club fly in from the UK and spend time with the kids for about a week, talking about what they did in the UK and would do educational and environmental projects.
One summer, two of the Essex staff were being hosted by one of our staff. The two decided to do a 65-mile portion of the Appalachian Trail. The guy hosting them decided to leave to go visit family while they were hiking for the week. Well, we had an intense drought and all the AT water sources dried up and they ended up with no water and one got injured when they fell due to heat exhaustion and turned their ankle. Since their host was out of town, I got a message from them in the middle of the work day from them and had to stop what I Was doing and drive to the Smokies to get them off the trail. I then had house them until their host returned.
I say that to say how funny it was seeing their eyes almost pop out of their heads seeing a gun case in a Walmart lol They couldn't wrap their minds around the possibility of guns being so easily available, especially in a store where you can buy food and clothes. They really were in disbelief when I made them aware of the Glock attached to the side of my bedframe.
They told me about what type of knives you can legally own in the UK and how you had to have reason and permission to own locking knives and what not. I really don't understand their standards to prove your intention of buying a certain knife that would be illegal without permission.
In regards to these laws showing that you will never stop violence, even with these stupid knife buy-backs and restrictions the UK implements, the guy from Essex told me about how he has witnessed acid attacks on the streets with people throwing cups of acid into someone's face.

This is the people the Democrat party cater too in the USA. It will continue to get worse for "normal" people until the cities are left to the poor.

I think we should wrap all of the citizenry in bubble wrap and put any nefarious bubble poppers in jail.

Eventually, they will be back to caveman days; lugging around massive clubs for braining people.

and if we somehow eliminated all firearms today, that same 6% would be using knives to commit their crimes. If not knives, they'd use sticks. Just like their ancestors did.
