Do you think a couple of secret drones and maybe a low orbit airplane are enough of a secret to be worth 300,000 lives? (I don't believe in aliens - the tech at Area 51 is likely pretty underwhelming).

At most it will only be the folks who stagger past the tear gas.

Except for in Waco the government was the one doing the storming. But here you have a group of idiots who will be doing the storming. And what they’re storming is the most sensitive site in the country and it’s common knowledge the guards have authority to use deadly force on any and all intruders.
I’d say it’s safe to say the public will not mourn the loss of anyone stupid enough to try this.
