Guys!!! The amazon rainforest is the LUNGS of our planet!!! Like when that church burned down, all these billionaires rushed to restore it. But when the actual most important defense system against climate change is burning down, NO billionaires to be seen!!!

People really need to calm down about the fricking rainforest. Itll be fine

Deforestation is a huge problem. But this fire is less than 1/1,000,000 of its area

So, to clarify: you’re lecturing other people about pretending to be experts about something they don’t know anything about, while at the same time acting like an expert on something you don’t know anything about yourself.

The rainforest is a net loser for co2 consumption oxygen production.

It burned up not down.

Fire generally works that way on it's own.

And it has a name....

Forests burn. They always have and always will. Fire is good in the long run for a healthy forest and is natures way of cleansing itself. Nothing to see here...move on.

Forests burning is part of the natural life cycle of forests. In the aftermath new growth is spurred

Preventing natural burns leads to larger burns.

Brilliant analysis. Unfortunately fires of this magnitude do not naturally or regularly occur in the Amazonian rainforest. It's not the same ecosystem as forests in the American West.
