I've seen the same thing with a guy I know. He was fat, lost 120 lbs, and was all the sudden pretty good looking and was already pretty wealthy.
He cheated on his wife who was maybe a 4, got caught and got divorced. The sad part about it was the kids involved.

I've been saying that.
Over time, fatties are making humans uglier by forcing guys to mate up with thinner less attractive women.

I had a roommate who was about 300 lbs. Just a good natured fat dude. He lost 120 lbs and was slaying because he looked like jacked Chris Pratt

I personally know of several middle aged women who are now obese that were once beautiful and very attractive. This x-post is not some hot take unless you were born in 2008 and a majority fat population is all you've ever known.

If look at pictures of AVERAGE American women in the 80's vs average American women now, the women in the 80's looked like supermodels compared to what women look like now. In America, women can have a pretty ugly face but if she isn't fat she probably still has 4 or 5 dudes hitting her up in the DMs.

Our brains are wired to be attracted to physically fit opposite sex. Naturally, yes, there are going to be plenty of attractive people hidden by bad choices.
