Temps in the 60s are ideal for humans. Not hot, not cold.

I always have it in the 60s. I don’t understand people who like it being hot inside.

One of the few benefits of living at the beach in So Cal. My AC is on about 30-50 days a year. My windows are open about 290 a year. It is cold enough to close them the other 25-45. I’m not even sure my heater works
And you still end up paying more on electricity than anyone in East Texas.

Tell her she has to pay the bill. And I hope it was gas heat!

Went to visit my parents in Florida this thanksgiving. Woke up sweating my balls off. Turns out my step dad likes to sleep with the A/C set at 78 in south Florida. I went and slept outside on the couch where it was 64. The rest of the time there I put the AC on 72 at night. He was pissed but at least I could sleep. We normally keep it on 68 with fan at full blast at our place.

My GF knows not to touch the thermostat. She asks me to change it if she is hot/cold and I’ll bump it up 1 degree or down 1 degree

The house rarely gets that cold. It was 64 when I woke up this morning. 68 now.

When/if I turn the heater it’s only to get it from 65 to 68 in mornings then it goes back off.... heater can not come on during sleep
