Listen to this guy and eliminate all standing water on your property and you will have done what you can.

What about a large outdoor fan near where you sit? I know a few folks who use them when it’s bug season and it seems to work.

There are a bunch of plants that serve as a natural deterrent to mosquitos which also have the benefit of beautifying your landscape. In addition, many of them are effective at different times of the year and can be used in the kitchen as well.

Some of these include Lavender, Rosemary, Lemongrass, Basil, and Mint.

Cutter

Doesn’t last long but is effective for a few days. I use it prior to hosting events

Use amber romance lotion from Victoria secrets.

It smells like vanilla so you will smell good and mosquitos will never touch you

Rape. Trugreen sprays mine for less than $50/mo and I never see a mosquito. It’s the only way to go

We have Mosquito Joe Service. We have a 4 acre pond begins the house & it was unbearable in the summer. They spray the acre around the house for $79/mo. Typical service is $89/3 weeks, but once a month is good. Worth every penny.

Building your retirement account selling bat poop?

On a side note, you will wind up with bats in the house eventually and I think they are prone to rabies.

Now I'm torn between spending 100 bucks on Bifen 25 and 100 or so on a sprayer and doing it myself. (Only have a third of an acre but will probably do neighbor's yards too for more coverage.)

Or if it's only 50 bucks every couple months...

Kind of just want the tools for myself really

I have the tools and spray at the camp and I find myself not wanting to do it.

I live in a rural area in the Florida panhandle. We used to have mosquitoes like crazy, especially after a rain. We have lots of standing pond water near us. But the last 4 or 5 years, suddenly no mosquitoes, not one. I can't explain it. They don't spray out here, but they have vanished.
