Yeah, that’s why. Or maybe they are happy because their societies are orderly, and crime is very low. They can go almost anywhere at any time without fear of being attacked. Any idea why THAT is?

It seems that diversity is not their strength.

We have disproportionate levels of crime for a first world country, largely due to culture

What culture is that?

Probably because a record number of women are in the workforce and miserable instead of staying home with the babies where they belong and would be happier.

We adopted Puritan ideals of labor and it never left. So much so that people of other faiths and ideologies still attach themselves to it because it's way it's always been.

I love this country but we really screwed ourselves along the way in areas.

It's ok. As AI develops, more people will have most of the year to actually live their lives...poor, miserable and surrounded by crime.

What country takes more immigrants than we do?

What country has non-citizens raping and killing their citizens like we do?

What country has hordes of fentanyl zombies like we do?

Yes, yes we just randomly lock people up.
.

I think we need to lock a lot more people up, for much longer.

"Trust in society..."

Thar would be awesome, again.

I was more leaning towards the fact that we as a country lean more towards the punitive instead of rehabilitation. Especially when it comes to drug offenders.

Need to establish non-incarceration punishments for nonviolent offenders, like caning, lashing or put in stocks for days.

Finland's key economic sector is manufacturing.

Our people would never take these jobs.

Cajun baws have to hire mexicans to harvest crawfish because everyone else is on fricking drugs.

Also, Finland's corporate tax rate is lower than ours and their unemployment is double ours.

Lets tax those sweets higher.

"Happiness" is overrated. Give me a nation full of miserable cynics.....that would satisfy me.

Notice I did not say that it would make me "happy"

I'm always skeptical of horseshite reports like this (by the UN, no less). Young people in the Dominican Republic and Malaysia are happier than those in the US, sure, right. They'd probably break their necks rushing to immigrate to the US.
