Looking at radar at 8:10 AM, looks like possible training effect trying to set up over NOLA. Storms moving in a line SW to NE, over NOLA area, but line doesn't appear to be moving...

Pretty dark outside at the moment, looks like some reds and oranges about to move in, according to radar.

Hope Korban has fired up the EMD's at the S&WB Carrollton Plant, we might need them today!

We gonna be alright. Just checked the dark sky app and the train will pass to our north over the lake. Just more OT fear mongering.

Yes. Is it better for it to remain aloft or get knocked down by storms?

If that blobs of orange and reds remains intact to the southeast and keeps coming up towards NOLA, there will be some flooding threads for sure.

That can’t be true. I’m constantly told only Orleans floods because statues or Latoya or something...

Parking restrictions have been lifted in New Orleans and the officials have turned on the back-up generators for the drainage pumps as thunderstorms moved through the city Wednesday morning.

One to two inches of rain are possible, the National Weather Service said, and there is a slight risk of excessive rain that could lead to flooding.

Parking restrictions were lifted as of 8:35 a.m. Residents can park on neutral grounds and sidewalks but they should block intersections, streetcar tracks or bike paths.

The Sewerage and Water board said it is running its backup generators at the Carrollton water plant in case they are needed to power the pumps.
