I own land up there but hardly ever actually visit because the people I've encountered in that area are mostly lawless white trash with no dignity or respect for human life.

The wife was arrested while he was out of town with his daughter in DC right before he disappeared too.

We are two counties over from there. More than half of the poachers and night hunters we've caught over the years have been from Lincoln County. Trashy is right.

What’s considered grand larceny in MS? More than what amount?

Maybe it was just a dine and dash.

I've actually considered buying land up there and appreciate this sort of information.

You can still get a lot of acreage for quite cheap in the area, and I'm guessing this at least partially explains it.

The ex-wife is pretty smart in that she lawyered up and has never spoken with the police. This guy is buried someplace in the deep woods never to be found.

If there's reasonable suspicion of police being involved, what's the process for the family getting the Mississippi State Police or MBI (is that even a thing?) involved?

I know their version of the state troopers are MDOT (MS Dept of Transportation) but I don’t know if that covers more than state highways.

MDOT does maintenance of roads, the MS Highway Patrol is their version of state troopers

Yeah he seemed like a good Ol Baw. Certainly not the kind of meth Baw that needs killing. And you can tell by how he talked to his kids that he was a great Dad.

His wife’s behavior both before and after is sketchy AF. Sounds like she may have set him up.
