This is incredibly naive. The worst ones probably manipulated their way into being "safe" from the layoffs while regular people that begrudgingly followed orders get the axe. That's how these things usually go.
Ummm, no. The regular people are the coders and are likely safe from this snap. Unlike Thanos, Elon doesn’t choose at random and is specific on who he destroys. He still needs the coders. Elon was apparently livid when he found out there were 10 managers for every coder. No, this is your average person at Twitter, and this chick is certainly getting snapped tomorrow as well as everyone else in this video: Day in the Life of a Twitter Employee

That’s racist. Not all African Americans have been incarcerated.

I'm pretty sure that Elon fricked this up. I don't really care about firing the board or employees. And if he makes the app worse so that I can stop checking it constantly I won't be mad. But I don't see the people that make free content paying $8 a month to him and the loan that he took out to buy it he has to pay a shite ton of interest on it each year.
He is a troll that thought it would be funny to buy Twitter and then tried to back out of it and faced with the penalty and like looking like a joke he went all in. He worked himself into a shoot brother.

I’d bet the bank you sit well up on the spectrum. I’m certain of it

My company did a bunch of layoffs during the summer and it was completely out of nowhere. I logged in one morning and and an email in my inbox saying “You are NOT impacted by today’s layoffs”. It was the single most surprising and relieving moment of my life. Had no idea layoffs were even coming but to learn I wasn’t laid off at the same time of learning OF the layoffs was a mindfrick for sure.
Yup, similar to my company earlier this year as well. One of our VPs scheduled a last minute WebEx meeting, and I could tell by his tone and tenor that something was up; I had it figured out when three of the employees I'd already seen logged in that morning were not on the call when they would have been.
Shitty, shitty, shitty. Survivor anxiety is real, too.
I'd feel bad for the Twitter employees who are about to get the axe, but they wouldn't shed a tear for me... hell, they wouldn't even piss on me (or any of us) if I were on fire, so frick them.

Would you say this is more or less of an insult than being called a heroin addicted junkie that manipulated some poor woman into financing your life?

Seriously, I’ve never done anything as remotely bad as SuperSaint has done. I’m glad he’s apparently turning his life around, but he doesn’t get to judge anyone.

Not really. He’s as manipulative and narcissistic as he’s ever been. Literally conned some woman in California.

Elon is chopping those who don't produce, but they are already suing, saying they didn't get enough notice of layoffs.

If I were fired via email. I would just pull a George Constanza and show up on Monday like bugging happened.

I suspect some group of high level admins already know they’re safe and almost all passwords and access of fired employees will be changed tonight to try and head off sabotage attempts, stealing data, etc.
Probably leave all the passwords just change rights. That way you can see when somebody is attempting to mess with something.

So weird to celebrate people losing their ability to feed their families because some top execs made decisions they don't align with. The political hive mind is gross.

You think twitter was hiring anyone before this that didnt toe those executive's line?
Might have been a few in the closest that didnt but highly unlikely
