anyone responsible for employing Will Sutton deserves a slow and painfully drawn out financial death. Hopefully they spend every last dollar they have trying to stay afloat before calling it quits

I don't feel bad for journalists. Once upon a time they were a respected profession but 2021 they are mostly a bunch of bullshitters and shite stirrers.

They can stop throwing their junk in my yard a few times a week and save some money. It goes straight in the trash every time.

At some point even stupid people realized that every article contained the “journalist’s” opinion as opposed to news. I think the nail in the coffin was the pre 2020 Pres election multi page piece on how green energy was good for Louisiana and would bring in 5000 jobs. It totally ignored the jobs that will be lost offshore and onshore by the various players in the energy production stream. They are so out of touch with reality on every level of government it absolutely astonishes me. They way they treat JBE, SWB and Teedy with kid gloves is as biased as it gets. Despite crime skyrocketing in Sport, BR and NOLA—-they don’t ask any questions about it. Rather, they run article after article about narcotics detectives who used hookers to set up drug dealers. They then quoted a former NYPD detective who didn't understand why the local police focused on low level dealers. Yes, the same NYPD who policed one of the safest large cities on the planet under Guiliani’s “frisk” policy and then ran it into the ground under Bloomberg and Cuomo with their “don’t even stop anyone, let alone frisk” policy. Essentially, they moved from proactive policing to simply responding to calls.

Maybe you should stop your subscription. Sounds like you’re wasting your money to me.

I am sentimental regarding the demise of print media, but truth told I have not read the news on papyrus in years.

My experience with the digital version was not good either. I found it very clunky and always asking me to log in again. I canceled that subscription too.

I can’t wait to see the Advocate go out of business.

If you know anyone still subscribing, have them cancel.

I've got a 1st cousin on the management at that POS business. That rag is so bad I won't feel one ounce of pity, nor compassion, for her when it goes under and she's unemployed.

She chose that career path and that vile institution, and continues to choose to work there daily. She should have made better choices. She was raised better than that.

It saddens me to see this happen to local media. Journalists did this to themself, no doubt. Unfortunately, as local media dies off, I feel like it’s easier for MSM to simply take over.
