I always figured the advocate to be some sort of soul cleansing for John Georges. For a guy who was is a part of, and president of, one of the most overtly racist frats at Tulane the paper gives him a chance to soothe his white guilt.

I heard a councilman at a council meeting that was mad at one of the local papers for story that was written about him that some of the news coverage was so bad that it was worthy to be used for that purpose anymore.

I guess he wasn’t wrong now you would need a year’s worth of newspapers just to cover your average table. Not only has the page width gotten smaller, the newsprint is so thin you are going to have to layer it in several layers.

Like I have stated in the past, if Louisiana ever got rid of the requirements to have an official journal to publish legal notices, official minutes, and other government mandated notices, it would be the final nail in the coffin for several Louisiana papers.

Those notices are like giving government cheese or food stamps to large corporate newspaper publishers.

I have often wondered why they think anybody cares what their opinion is.
They are not smart enough to realize nobody cares what their opinion is.
