Decided to take in a showing on Halloween night. It's at the prytania theatre.

A local group, The Well Hung Speakers, does a live action interactive showing while the movie plays.

There are people dressed in all manner of costumes. From scantily clad women, to giants of men dressed in drag.

And while I am just a poor country boy from backwoods Louisiana, I must say it was a very good show and a fun time.

I would rate it R, a little mild nudity. And a lot of dirty humor.

It was also BYOB, which I took to mean bring my own stainless tumbler of bourbon and ice.

Video from their site

Cool show.

Anyone else been?

You could get a prop bag of toast, lighters, cards, rice, and a newspaper if you wanted.

There was shite flying everywhere.

ETA: on the offchance the gorgeous black girl who faked an orgasm pre show reads this, sweetie that was an academy award winning performance. And I feel bad that you are that good at faking

So I din't realize it was a live play. I had seen the movie back in the 70's. Susan Sarandon's movie debut. Dammit Janet!

I've done all kinds of different things and been to all kinds of different events and concerts throughout my life and Rocky Horror Picture Show audience participation spectacle was always one of my favorites.

You couldn’t pay me to go hang out with a bunch of gays dressed up like women. But I guess if that’s what you’re into.

We used to also go almost every Saturday night in Lafayette at the old Plaza.
Bit of trivia - The guy who played Riff Raff wrote "Rocky Horror".

Us too. It played at The Varsity back when it was still a movie theater.

When I was in high school in Chalmette right before Katrina, the Chalmette theater used to do one monthly. My friends and I would go every month, it was always a blast

I figured the anal gaping or dog shite scene would of been the better parts.
