Let's check in on day one and it's uh, not going great.
Portland, OR at 106 currently, with 112 forecast for the next two days.
100 right now at Seatac, with 109 forecast for Monday.
109 at Pasco, WA at the confluence of the Snake and Columbia Rivers. 110s on the menu for the next three days.

Saw 107° for Portland on MyRadar. I like their temp overlay, but they could use some more cities.

It was triple digits in Salt Lake City this week. It’s currently 70 in Jackson Hole and very breezy.

My parents are up in Jackson Hole for something this weekend.
It's wild. I was driving through some wintery mix in the higher terrain in CO today. Snow at like 13k. The freezing level from the Seattle sounding this morning was about 18k'. Hell New Orleans probably didn't have a freezing level that high today.

Climate change, why aren’t they leaving for Canada?
Posted on 6/26/21 at 10:45 pm to Duke
Cooler than normal in most of the rest of the country. Balance is achieved

I wonder if their Antifa city folks have a summer uniform, or just lighter weight black hoodies and sweats.

wouldn’t be so bad if houses were equipped with AC.
no worse feeling then sitting down on the couch and sweat pouring out the pores of your skin
no relief at night either
frick this heat

Not an air conditioner to be found up there either.
My neighbor was just talking about this earlier. We were talking, he used to work out West and worked in Oregon for awhile. He said there is like 2 weeks during the Summer where it gets hot.
And he said the summer he was there it was hotter than average.. His wife decided to go buy a window unit and ended up having to call all over and found one at Sears.. He said when she got there, there were only 3 left.

Doesn't mean it doesn't suck. 108 wow.
And you're going to break that record tomorrow.
ETA: (weather nerd thing) probably have a 600 dm ridge centered over BC. Ridiculous.

wouldn’t be so bad if houses were equipped with AC.
I saw the thermostat when I moved in but never even bothered trying to turn it on and just assumed it didn't work. I was outside talking to my neighbor and mentioned how hot my apartment was and he asked if my AC was broken. I said "what AC?" then went inside and checked and it fired right up.

In West Seattle, it’s hot AF right now.

Why is that hot pocket of air there? In layman's terms please.
