So this is more of the "everything can be solved by not being a pussy" mentality. Got it.

It’s nature with maybe a tiny dabble of nurture these days. Don’t be a dunce.

So a 15 year boy watching a chick with bouncing boobies is making them gay?

I'd expect the opposite.'

I believe that Homo/Bi is like fashion trend or a fad.....most will feel pretty dumb in about 10 years.

you'd think a disco-dancing, Oscar Wilde-reading, Streisand ticket-holding friend of Dorothy like yourself would have googled before making such a broad statement

Then wouldn't you have seen this in cultures that stereotypically known for not having a man in the house?

I think the rise is directly correlated with the fact that it is no longer viewed as a stigma and has been normalized. In addition to the fact that we give everyone a platform via social media, it gets to be thrown in our faces a lot more.

I have quite a few gay people in my family. Raised in two parent households and siblings are hetero. Anecdotal also.

It's social media. SM creates a gang mentality for the mentally ill, thus mental illness becomes trendy. Kids follow trends.

Solution? Parents need to stop giving their children pocket computers with unlimited access to all of the world's goods and evils. Get them off of social media and have them socialize in person instead. Only then will we see positive responses in our children again.

Do you know of any studies that show a higher rate of homosexuality occurring in single parent households?

I have worked with quite a few gay men in my life. Unfortunately the common theme is "raised by mother, no dad, close bond with mother". Its anecdotal but I bet if you really dug into it there would be a preponderance of evidence

How about more anecdotal stories. I can think of three guys who's three boys are gay with one of them being a full blown sex change case (so, I guess that isn't gay necessarily).

What all three fathers have in common is that they are on the scale with Asperger's and all three are highly intelligent engineers (two are EE's and one is nuclear physicist) who have problems with normal, everyday social interactions. Lack of eye contact, can't detect any sarcasm, etc. Obviously very anecdotal but got me thinking...
