Louisiana has some quiet rich folks.

Gary chouest is nearly a recluse and is very private about his wealth. His fleet assets are estimated to be over 2.5billion alone. His shipyards could be nearly a billion. His ancilliary businesses could be b/w 500-1billion.
Gayle is worth over 3billion.
There’s a few families with combined wealth over 1billion.

It’s something of an Illuminati/Jews Control the World trope. There is only one Rothschild left who is known to be a billionaire.
The Rothschild bank itself is a relative pipsqueak in its industry now.
Many have married into other wealthy families and the like (kind of like the Rockefellers), but their individual wealth isn’t eye popping. Too diffuse at this point.

That's why all of these "richest" lists all tend to be filled with new money. Old money is quiet and doesn't want the world knowing its business. I once heard that the art collection of the Rothschild family is worth more than Bill Gates entire net worth.
