In the 90's it was cool to be depressed. Never quite understood that.
That's what happens after a 10 year coke party, called the 80s. 90s was the come down/chill out decade. Heroin became big again and weed started picking up popularity.

The main reason the 80's was the greatest decade besides the incredible music, cocaine, hot sluts, & great economy was that Americans looked at each other as Americans then. We were not at war with each other. Our only enemy was the Russians in the Cold War. We knew that nuclear war could break out at any time so we just partied out asses off.

The Clinton Administration, the rise of grunge, & heroin started the 90's & we have had Americans at war with Americans ever since. Look at us now. It is embarrassing.

This is the reason why THE 60s was the best decade. That is when they got famous by doing their best work.

And the SJW's were still in the closet....

Didn't have to worry about politicians or the media pandering to those pieces of shite...

Agreed. We loved our country and if anyone would have bashed our country and President like they do now they would have been the ones shamed. Americans were on the same side, not like they are today.

Great music, movies, fashion. The big giant Satellite dishes came out and you watched every channel without a subscription!

We missed the free love of the '60's/'70's, ecstasy/rainbow parties of the '90's, all the chicks wore baggy clothes, and everyone was freaked out about AIDS. Unless you were doing coke, it was slightly overrated.

Sorry you're a wet blanket and your 80s sucked. You really did miss out because the rest of us had a blast.

If I were dragged to the mall, I loved disappearing to play free video games at Sears, Wilson's etc. There was even some form of computer set up on the second floor of Godchaux's. Radio Shack as last resort. God forbid it was Bon Marche, I think Montgomery Ward's had something though.

My parents probably spent less entertaining me my entire childhood than most middle-class families do on one Christmas these days (even adjusted for inflation).

Toys, movies, cartoons were all better. That's why they keep remaking them 30 years later.

Plus, no cell phones, electronics, and everyone played outside

I'm not a big fan of the 80s but every number 1 single Hank Jr had was in the 80's except 1 and that was in 1972.
