Ahh, another SG opponent shows his true colors.
Shane Spillman, Baton Rouge Fireman and heavy St. George opponent, was arrested and charged with his 2nd offense DWI on March 2nd in Ascension Parish, his hometown.
Its easy to say baton rouge is great when you take your tax money to ascension parish eh? Hahah

I have a fundamental problem with it and with police and sheriffs littering the LP driveways, in that if you don't live in the area in which you police, how can your motivation to clean it up or it's future as a nice place to live be seen as really all that important to you? You don't live there, don't own property there, or your kids live there, but I'm supposed to believe you have our best interests at heart? Really?
There are a whole lot of people who seem to have feelings about Baton Rouge and St. George who don't live here.

A study is being commissioned to determine whether St. George actually cures cancer also.
But I have already been totally convinced by TD's resident SG expert, lie debunker, fact-checker, internet daredevil and dealmaker that SG is a proven cause of cancer, rabies, scabies, and the flu, along with various other forms of death and destruction on cataclysmic scales. Not to mention the E-bodi virus.

While I understand what you're saying the other side of it is do you really want to be living next the same people you may be called to arrest?
FWIW I hope the st George thing comes to fruition, I'd probably move their from st charles.

That dude probably hasn't paid a dollar into the system. He is probably a leach on the system and promotes others to do the same.

You are getting a discount if you are catholic, look at their rate schedule. Just because you've never had to look at it doesn't mean other people don't. I've looked at pretty much all of the private schools cost and none are at 3k a year.
Please prove that I'm ignorant and show me where tuition only costs 3k a year.
High School or Elementary?
Elementary is about $3800 a year.
Catholic High Schools in BR are more; but it's roughly the same costs per year as the good day care centers in this same city to put it in perspective.
Like another poster said, it's all about priorities, and that's why most cant (choose not to) afford a private education. However I do believe that some genuinely cant afford it and there is no decent public school to send their kids to in Baton Rouge. Which at that point means they are not making much money, and should just sell and move to Ascension (assuming they live in SBR) and give them a better public school education. Creating a new city isnt the answer.
While I have no issues with the man, and he has probably done a great job in office, it has to at least be somewhat alarming when someone that's in the position to push some of these initiatives and changes as an elected official of that area, is also leading the charge for SG to break free.
IMO job #1 for Mr White this session should be getting the SGFD the funding they deserve, not to keep them out in limbo so that they can remain part of the agenda of the VSG pushers. That's not right. Give them the money they need, and let the debate go on about the other issues.

You were wrong. I pointed it out.
What is it about you SG advocates that you can't tell the truth? It starts with Bodi White and Lionel Rainey and permeates all the way down to semi-literate posters on a message board.

You mentioned a WHS teacher was harassed and quit. I hope it wasn't Mrs. Cherbonnier, she was my favorite teacher.
Class of 2008 WHS Alumni here. We probably know each other.
It was Mrs. Cherbonnier, unfortunately. My was one of my favorites as well as my two brothers.

Another Russian post, another condescending personal attack that contributes nothing.
I expect nothing more from a race-baiter like you.
You continually show your poor character, which simply further erodes your credibility.
You're just a troll at this point.
Why don't you just move along and let the adults have a discussion?

The real issue is that these people don't want to live in BR. Focus on the issues that are causing that instead of simply demanding that people live in BR.

Yes. Well, technically you have to pay some other fees and all, so really I belive it's around $4100. Maybe other schools cost different based on classroom(s) and students per class and all. Also, it's more expensive if you are not catholic and dont live in the parish.
Have a child in 1st grade now.
Was like getting a big raise when catholic education started and we didnt have to pay day care anymore.
