re: Surprise! Shanesha Taylor blows all $114k in donations she received from people

Who didn't think this was going to happen, honestly? Someone with literally nothing that has probably never had even $1,000 in her checking account, all of a sudden has 6 figures. People like her are what keeps the economy going, unfortunately. I'd be PISSED if I donated even a dollar to her.

Wear a costume that may head off any problems before they occur. I'd suggest dressing as a job.

LOL
quote:
Maupin says he lined up numerous job interviews for Taylor in the hotel, restaurant and retail industries. Interviews he says she never showed up for.
“She didn’t go to the interviews, didn’t return calls, wasn’t interested in the kind of jobs we were able to bring to the table for her. This was someone who had no job at all,” Maupin said.
And that’s not all.
Taylor missed the deadline for putting the $40,000 into a trust fund for her children.
So where is the money?
“The money is gone. It’s been spent. It’s been wasted on designer clothes, Michael Kors. We want to see the bank statements because we see her in designer jeans, and we understand that she paid for studio time for her baby daddy’s rap career. I am flabbergasted by that,” Maupin said.

Has anyone done the math on how many weaves and gel nail kits you can buy with $114k?

re: Anyone remember when the cattle truck rolled over downtown Baton Rouge?
Posted by LSUWrangler on 11/21/14 at 9:09 am to Kingpenm3
I was with the BRPD when one overturned near Drusilla amid all that construction and we chased cattle for 2 hours. I recall one at the 10-110 split, but not the details.
re: So now that illegals will have to pay taxes, will Mexicans cost more?
Posted by LSUWrangler on 11/21/14 at 7:49 am to tigerbutt
I'm optimistic about this whole thing. With 5,000,000 new people that should be paying tax, when in actuality, only about 100,000 will, maybe the IRS will be overwhelmed and quit nitpicking the hell out of good hard working citizens.

So you are telling me that areas with a mostly good public school network are more desirable than areas with a mostly shitty public school network?
This isn't exactly shocking news.

Nothing false about it. Kip has said that the City would not annex Gardere.
You are correct. He doesn't want to have to provide services to the black folk that live there, but he's perfectly happy providing the same services to the casino dwellers and mall shoppers. Here's his exact quote:
"But Holden says annexation would also mean the city is responsible for providing more services, which at this point is not practical, he says. “We have a top-rated fire district,” Holden says. “For us to provide free fire protection to Gardere would jeopardize that rating and would be cost prohibitive.”

You asked me a direct question and I answered it. You didn't like the answer (once you eventually comprehended it).
My lack of comprehension was based on having the nerve to question the words of a man who 'owns' 9 acres on Highland Rd. I wish I knew everyone else on TDs property situation, but unfortunately no one else has to talk about the property they own in a weak attempt to further their credibility. Thus, the $30,000 a year millionaire cliche is born.

Get your facts straight. It's nine acres and it's near Highland Road, not on it.
I just passed it. Didnt realize it was 9, sorry.

How did you conclude that from what I wrote?
You agreed with the part about St. George being a bunch of rich white folks leaving a bunch of poor black folks (the city of Baton Rouge) to fend for themselves. The lakes are in the city of Baton Rouge, thus, the lakes must be home to those poor black folks, yes? Unless there are actually rich white folks in the city of Baton Rouge and that whole argument is meaningless? Who knows, there are probably a few blacks in St. George too, hiding out til this all passes over.
