My parents knew a woman who actually was targeted for the expensive ring on her finger. A man hid underneath her vehicle in her driveway and attacked her from under the car. Pulled her down and legit cut off her ring finger then ran away with it in his hand. This shite is rare but it happens.

I’ve heard a story of an old lady getting her finger bit off when the thief couldn’t get the ring to come off.

Ok, be sure to encourage young people to take out a bad loan so they can "own a house", pay PMI for years, pay for a bunch of maintenance, and then sell before they make a dent in the principal. Buying nice things is a luxury you can afford if you play your cards right and avoid other dumb financial decisions.
