My man, I’m almost 50 and I play competitive tennis all summer. In Texas. And it’s 15° hotter on a tennis court than air temp. There’s kids outside playing all summer.

Get out of your house and drop a few pounds. It’s not hotter now than it was back then. You’re just weaker.

And I’m talking about stats and charts being ignored by those who would rather go on feelings than facts, which is the majority of the board on this topic.

If a kid is inside on his ipad all the time and goes outside to do stuff once a month then yeah, it's not going to go well. If the kid ain't fat, stays hydrated, and plays outside all the time then it isn't really a problem other than sunburn potential.

This. Your body evolves and adapts to the environment that it's used to. That's why people of London are in red alert over what we would consider moderate heat levels and how people in the far North laugh at us when we close schools after just a few inches of snow(sometimes the mere presence).

Any reason you're so focused on the stats relative to one abnormally hot summer?

When you spend the majority of the day inside and then suddenly go outside then yes the heat can assuredly harm you. As a kid I was outside all the time and my body was acclimated to the temperature. There was always a water hose nearby for a refreshing drink. Not city water....my dad's well.

I don't hear or see the Mexicans installing roofing shingles dropping dead from the heat. Those guys are used to it. .

You’re older. The planet isn’t getting hotter.

The historical records make your claim invalid.

IIRC last summer was mostly a regional phenomenon, and much of the country had an average summer.

My 15 year old goes to workouts from 7:00-9:30 and then works in the sun until dark. No different than I did when I was his age. The only thing that has changed is people being lazy and inactive. These kids stay inside too much playing on IPads, PS4's or spend all day on Snapchat/Instagram/TikTok or any other social media platform.

You remember incorrectly. It was globally the hottest summer ever recorded and only a few places on earth (the east coast of the US being one of them) weren't significantly hotter than average.

Most of western europe was way way hotter than typical.

You know, it has gotten this hot in other parts of the world for a long time and they seem to still be alive.

Do your part. Stop using fossil fuels, which will most likely mean you'll need to live without electricity or ac. Be an example for the rest of us.

Most climate change proponents just want to force you to change, so they can continue their lifestyle.
